Men in Suits, a septet of business execs, will join forces with the horn section of the Toronto Star’s in-house band, Holy Joe and the Principles, when it headlines at the El Mocambo on Friday as part of Canadian Music Week. Read the full story at The Star.
The Rolling Stones, Elvis and U2 played there. Now Men in Suits (my band) will be featured at a Canadian Music Week “showcase” May 9. The Warmup Band is The fabulous Muso Project at 8 pm. Men in Suits starts at 9:15 pm and play till midnight.
We’ll be featuring Duke McKenzie in some Hip Hop Mashups and also playing our new (soon to be hit) recording Morning Light.
Tickets will sell fast so please purchase tickets here. As usual any proceeds the band makes from the evening go to charity.

It’s an anthem for social change. “She” represents people who through love can collectively build a better world using the power of the Net. The first part is 60’s then into a 2013 hip hop — leading back and forth to crescendo. We’re asking a Marquis Rapper to do the hiphop — stay tuned for an announcement. There will then be contest on the Internet to do the music video with a significant prize. All proceeds will go to a charity.
