CMW: Men in Suits lock horns with Star musicians
Call it a fusion of Bay Street players and media brass.
Men in Suits, a septet of business execs, will join forces with the horn section of the Toronto Star’s in-house band, Holy Joe and the Principles, when it headlines at the El Mocambo on Friday as part of Canadian Music Week. Read the full story at The Star.
Men in Suits to Headline El Mocambo May 9
The Rolling Stones, Elvis and U2 played there. Now Men in Suits (my band) will be featured at a Canadian Music Week “showcase” May 9. The Warmup Band is The fabulous Muso Project at 8 pm. Men in Suits starts at 9:15 pm and play till midnight.
We’ll be featuring Duke McKenzie in some Hip Hop Mashups and also playing our new (soon to be hit) recording Morning Light.
Tickets will sell fast so please purchase tickets here. As usual any proceeds the band makes from the evening go to charity.
Men in Suits Releases A New Song
Men in Suits releases it’s new song, Morning Light. Written by Don Tapscott in collaboration with John Welsman and Duke Mackenzie. Vocals by Gerry Throop, Trish Fondberg, Duke Mackenzie and Don Tapscott. Stay posted for the video contest.
It’s an anthem for social change. “She” represents people who through love can collectively build a better world using the power of the Net. The first part is 60’s then into a 2013 hip hop — leading back and forth to crescendo. We’re asking a Marquis Rapper to do the hiphop — stay tuned for an announcement. There will then be contest on the Internet to do the music video with a significant prize. All proceeds will go to a charity.

Men in Suits celebrates the annual Movember fundraiser at Rock n’Mo’s third annual gathering in support of prostate cancer awareness, testicular cancer awareness and men’s mental health initiatives.
This year ‘s Rock n’Mo event will feature a Silent Auction, Raffle Prizes, Food & Drink Sampling stations, Live Music, Moustache Photo Creations & Many More Fun Surprises.
